Peindre l’émotion depuis 12 ans, je m’exprime par le biais de la peinture. Je travaille par instinct, laissant aller mes émois à travers mes personnages aux attitudes profondes.

 

L'approche picturale s'amorce à la spatule par les premiers traits de peinture avec la couleur de l'instant immédiat. Je m'éloigne, me rapproche, tourne la toile jusqu'à ce que la forme du personnage s'anime. Puis, c'est en conjuguant les textures et les couleurs au pinceau que se dévoile le caractère expressif de mes personnages. Le but de son travail est de créer une émotion au portrait, comme un refrain à une chanson.
 

Painting emotion For the past 12 years, Laurin has been expressing herself through painting. The artist works by instinct, letting go of her emotions through characters with profond personalities. The pictorial approach first begins with spatula strokes of paint using color of the moment. The artist moves away, gets closer, turns the canvas until the shape of the character comes alive. Then, it is by combining the textures and the colors with the brush that is revealed the expression of her characters. The purpose of her work is to give emotion to the portrait, like a chorus to a song.
